Garden Wisdom
It's Time To Shine
My gardens always have something to say. I was deadheading all the gorgeous Lilies one day. I noticed how some were tall and statuesque at first glance. Others did not grow as tall this year, even though they came from the same place, same variety, had the same soil and water & nutrients. As I looked closer, others were shorter, fuller, and more compact and with many more blossoms, outstanding in vibrancy and color. Both are gorgeous in their own right, just as stunning, but so different, I was just in awe of their beauty.
I wonder how often we feel as if someone else stands taller, is brighter & shinier; do we not show up as they do. I know I have felt that way many times in my past.
The good news is we are not supposed to be a duplicate of someone else. Just as each flower is not a duplicate, it owns its beauty and takes its place in the light, still reaching for the sun no matter its size, color, or shape; it takes its place and shows up confident.
For the universe that created us filled us each with our beauty, our gifts, our talents. We have just as much right to stand in the light. Just as much right to claim our glory. Just as much right to claim our beauty and show our talent & gifts to the world. It does not matter how or where we were grown or who helped us grow.
Maybe the homegrown soil was not perfect, the water temperature not quite right, or we did not get enough sun, growing in the shade of others. None of it makes us less beautiful, less vibrant, less valuable, less worthy of standing in the light & being our magnificent selves.
Just like the flowers that are beaten and blown around by the wind, punishing rains, and or burned by the blazing sun, they still show up banged & bruised sometimes, but it does not keep them from taking their place and standing in the light in all their glory.
So, I invite you to be willing to claim your gifts, talents, beauty and take your rightful place in the sun. Let your light shine and be seen; you are worthy of receiving every beautiful and abundant blessing!
It’s time to Shine bright!!
